During the wonderful 2.5 hours journey you will experience the magicial Portuguese landscape. Coming from Lisbon airport you take the motorway A12 SUL, after the second roundabout you keep following Vasco de Gama and stay on the motorway A2/Algarve. After approximately 200 km take the exit Almodovar/Gomes Aires and drive on N 393 towards Almodovar. In Almodovar the twisted road takes you past the church (after the church turn right twice) towards Mertola. Leaving the small town of Almodovar, cross the little bridge and take a right towards Dogueno. After about 11 km – at the exit of Dogueno – take a left and drive towards Santa Cruz. After approx. 5 km you will see the little village of Santa Cruz on your right. Stay on the main road and circumnavigate the village. After a few turns (about 500 m) you will see the three windmills of MonteNovo. You leave the main road by taking a right. At your left you will see a big entrance gate. You have arrived. |
